96 and 103 are the same basic engine .

65049 - I think all Rushmores come with the equivalent to a SE compensator starting in 2014.

What is the difference between the compensator that would come on my 2008 and a SE compensator?

From what i understand HD's current version of the SE comp is a heavier duty component then was stock on your 08 touring HD.

Far as an engine swap none. If you pick up a 103 that is air cooled direct swap for our TC96. The 2008 is even already fly by wire throttle.
