RT valves do take more effort to install. But are far more adjustable and provide a better ride then Ricors, when setup correctly. Ricors are a definite improvement with stock soft springs. The RT is an upgrade when comparing the two.
Oh for an idiot's guide to tuning the darned things! The ones in my Sporty are just deadweight passengers at present.

If it were not for a friend sharing their experience and proven setup, not sure RT would have been my choice. I probably should have taken pics and step by step instructions for others. Their are other forums, sport bikes from what I recall, that have pics and setup instructions.
I had the monotubes in my 07 RG, truth be told I couldnt remove them fast enough. They were stiff and squirrelly on tar snakes. I went with Racetech gold valves, these were very much improved, had them for 40k miles and never an issue.
Now for the CVO Im thinking of Ohlins FKC 101's, does anyone know if they are adjustable before you install them? I have Ohlins rears but the front is so harsh now, cant wait to replace them.
Curious as to how you had racetechs set up.. Oil weight, emulator spring, fork springs, preload.
Had the progressive mono tubes with no clips although the front end dive was cured the rife was to harsh. I switched to the Axeo's with one inch drop and Ohlins in the rear. Total happy with the ride and performance. I stull dodge bumps but no longer have to , just a habit I got into with the Mono's.
