I have a buddy that just got apes installed and when he got it back the clutch pull was really hard. Took it back and turns out the clutch cable was was not installed properly on the clutch pull or pulley. It was taken apart, done correctly and now it works fine. I would check that first. I don't know the details but has something to do with the way the cable pulley is aligned.

OP, you have probably read up on the burlybrand easy pull, which works (I know cause I bought and installed it) off an increase in leverage... but it sounds like you might be due for a new cable anyways... I can't speak to the HD kit with the revised ***** and ramp but if you are going to go that route... now would be the perfect time to replace the cable seeing how you will be "in it" already.

I now have a 107 all bore in it and the heavier spring has been enough to handle 115 ish square, but I'm getting tired of the heavy clutch pull. I'm a strong guy, but it seriously gets to me, especially on a long day for twisty riding with downshifting.

What are my options? I guess I wouldn't mind a beefier clutch in the process, but is there anything beefier that would actually require less muscle strength?

Maybe I'm just a wuss.

I've used 2 options to reduce clutch pull for my Ex. (actually three).

She has a 2010 tri glide. That bike was well known for the heavy clutch and she's small and has some problems with arthritis. Added an (1) AIM clutch kit (pressure plate) and that made it easy for her. Pull is very light and no clutch slip. She loved it.

I have a 2005 Deluxe. It had a pretty stiff clutch. I used (2) the HD Easy Pull Clutch Kit on it with good results. It significantly reduced clutch effort (it uses different ramps and a lighter spring). It doesn't slip even with my stage-2 set-up (Andrews 48 cams). I was very happy with the result.

The EX wanted to ride my Deluxe. She had been riding the trike for six years and wanted to get back on two wheels occasionally. Even with the easy pull set-up she felt the clutch was a little heavy for her.

I decided to try a product called (3) The Clutch Wiz. Sounds goofy but it worked very well, and was a much cheaper solution than the AIM kit. Used in combination with the already installed Easy Pull Kit, the clutch pull is ridiculously light. She loves it, its even easier than the clutch on her Tri Glide. It's almost too light for me. I can operate it with one finger, but it's so light there isn't a lot of feedback...I am getting used to it though.

Your bike with the 95 kit probably has the heavy duty clutch spring that came with the kit. I suggest you consider either the AIM kit or the Clutch Wiz. The Clutch Wiz was much more reasonably priced. It works by changing the leverage on the spring.

+1 on the Burly Brand easy pull. I did the install while putting on my apes and changed trans fluid in the process. It was very simple job but would have been irritating if I didn't have to open it up to replace the cable anyway. Made riding in town much much more comfortable.
