Put on Ohlins 3/3's earlier this summer and progressive standard height monotubes. First time out for an extended ride with the wife on the bike, just happened to coincide with pulling the time out camper. New suspension is very nice. Hit some pretty bad spots, never did bottom out the shocks, and the new front suspension really illiminated some porpsing that I would see with the stock front end.
There are a few different manufactures that make small pop-up campers that can be pulled by a touring motorcycle.
Timeout
Aspen
Bunkhouse
Roll-A-Home
Kompact Kamp
Lees-use Lite
to name a few
I pull an Aspen Sentry when headed to a motorcycle rally or on a trip where I head to an area to act as my basecamp. Always generates a conversation when people see how large it is once setup. With the money I save on hotel/motel rooms, it will eventually pay for itself..... at least that was how I justified the cost.
If I only had the time. I like the one that has the large bed on one side and the shelter to wait out the unwanted rain while BS(ing) and consuming liquid refreshments in comfort. I like the idea about not digging a ditch around the tent just in case. Sitting upright and standing is also a big plus (Blue Aspen). I have seen these at rally's where there is enough room to put gear in and on top of the trailer. I would imagine these are very comfortable.
Wife and I really liked our TimeOut camper. When she goes now, we take the 5th wheel toy hauler because of her ailments. If she could ride on the bike without pain, we would have bought another TimeOut camper.
