Default Speakers

I'm fixing up my boyfriends 2004 Road Glide after a deer incident. I'm doing this while he's offshore working, as a surprise, and I need some speaker advice. I bought the hogtunes set with the amp because it said it was compatible with his bike, but the speakers are 5x7 and larger than factory. What can I do to make these work? Is it possible? Are adapters available? This set is what he wanted before when we were looking at them and I really want to make them work. Thanks in advance!

Better to post your question in the audio section here... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/audio-systems-153/

Good luck, that's a great thing you're doing!

There is an adapter that lets you put them in. PS, I think you're a keeper...lol...and a Carolina girl.

Thanks guys! He works hard and I want to take good care of his baby. I ordered tires and brakes and got a new fairing. I'm having everything touched up and repainted. One of the speakers is fried since the accident, so I thought I'd upgrade it a little and hook him up. I'll post my question in the other section and get some more info about the speakers. I appreciate ya'll and your responses!

replaced the oem 2 ohm speakers with a pair of JBL 3 ohm speakers.........poor mans solution to a common problem. I sacrificed low volume but I'm satisfied with the end result , sound is markedly better than the crap h-d put in, also found the left side bracket broken at the speaker mounting screw....half washer took care of that.
