If the thing has power to it when all switches are turned off then its for the battery tender, if you only get power to it when you switch on your ignition switch to either run or acc, then its an accessory plug.
Put a test lamp onto it and then let us know what its doing. Then grease it and close the top on it.
lol... its the battery tender plug.. You trace it is is connected directly to your battery and has an inline fuse..... Trust me i use it all the time.....
If it is 1/2" wide with one exposed terminal (male) and one covered terminal (female) it is most likely the battery tender plug. Some dealers DID put these on for a selling gimmick.
You can plug that accessory plug into a battery tender if you want to, but your battery will still be dead when your through.[sm=icon_rofl.gif]

Read the manual didn't see it there. However........with that link and the couple min. it took to take the seat off, I could see that it is connected to the battery with an inline fuse and looks just like the picture in the link. So I'm gonna go with battery tender. Thank you everyone for all the help.
I thought all dealers installed a battery tender plug. Mine does it on all their bikes. They told me so. They never offered to sell me a battery tender however.
That's a battery tender plug and I bought a battery tender at walmart that isn't the exact match (it's a bit smaller) but works fine for about 15 bucks.
