I appreciate the "owner's manual" replies but I bought the bike used and the guy never gave me the owners' manuals. I asked him and his answer was "I can't find them".
It is well worth getting one! They are available at your local dealer, or you may be able to download one from the H-D website, go to the Owners tab. There's no sense foundering around in the dark when the solution is so readily available!
