I have read a lot about the Progressive Monotubes. Biggest complaint I have seen is too stiff. Seems the people who like the Progressive all say. Leave one spacer in, not two. Use 5 oz. of oil not 9 oz's. Question one is that really the fix for that? Have seen next to no replies confirming or denouncing. Also have read if you take two spacers out it lowers the bike 1" so that I won't be doing as I am 6 1". Would love to get the Ohlins my friend just ordered (FKC-101) from Howard. Just can't swing that much $. Aside from Brake dive. What is the advantage of a replacement front suspension? To say handling is better is pretty general need more meat. . I did get my rears from Howard and could not be happier and it handles better! Thanks
economics here, yep got rid of dive, handling in a way, they were a bit harsh at first now with 40k+ 7 years later not as harsh downside a little dive came back but still better then stock. mnfg says they need to be replaced every 100k as i recall.
very subjective but imo cost,no regular maintenance, and got rid of that nasty dive, it was worth it i suppose.
Put the monotubes in my 2013 Road Glide Ultra with two spacers because is usually a two up ride. With one person it is a bit stiff. Our trip over to York had a pretty good feel to them. We also installed the 944HD rear shocks. Down side to those, they need to be adjusted for one up or two up, the bags come off for that. It's okay for us.
I had monotubes installed on my last bike, a 07 CVO ultra. Was never totally satisfied with them. When I purchased my 14 ultra I had Legend AXEO front suspension installed. In my opinion, they are much better. You can adjust for your weight, come with a lifetime warranty. Price is between the top dollar offering and monotubes. Another plus, made in America.

AXEO from my research runs about 750.00. Progressive I can get for 305.00. Ohlins about 1K. Good info thanks!
What year is your bike? I wonder if Harley will be offering the updated internals that are in the 2017 models. Might be worth a call to your dealer. They are a huge improvement over stock and yes better than the monotubes in my opinion.

Bike is a 2011 Electra Glide Ultra Limited. Even if that was offered. I wouldn't go there. First the cost. I would guess would be over a 1K. And for that I would get the Ohlins. Most likely it is cost related. But IMO Harley takes a lot of shortcuts when it comes to parts. Having said that I have done a test ride on the 2017 and the ride is better than my model year. Tighter. Thanks
