I am thinking of getting the bracket that connects the tour pack to the sissy bar mounting hardware. I see a couple of different choices on e bay. fat baggers inc has one for $200. then there are a couple listed for $90. and a couple listed for $50. I am asking if anyone has any experience with these and what is your opinion of what you have. quality, fitment and price. thanks for all replies. I am looking at the kits for the pre 08 bikes.
To my knowledge, the tour pack uses different attachment points than the sissy bar. The HD kit uses a V shape piece that has an attachment point on it. The sissy bar connects to two points other than that V shaped piece. I don't claim to know about every kit out there, but I have the HD kit and a sissy bar won't attach to it. I'd investigate it some before you make a purchase.
There are a few brackets that fit on the tour pack that attach to the sissy bar bracket. http://www.ebay.com/itm/191173829610...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I am trying to see if anyone has used them and if they were happy with them. I am trying to avoid the triangle bracket if possible. that being said I want the tour pack to be sturdy and secure.
