Default Upgrade Bars With Batwing Mirrors

Looking for input on bar upgrades and still using batwing mounted factory mirrors. 12" seems to be the sweet spot and not have to upgrade brake or clutch lines. Which offer best visibility, pros and cons, thanks !

I have 14s on my 08 and the fairing mirrors were still useless..
I just put plugs in the fairing and mounted the mirrors on the levers like stock (reverse; upside down)

Been looking at the Chubby's 12 1/2 Bagger Apes, they seem to allow use of the batwing mirrors. The 14's are probably to much, wanting to use factory lines if I can.

I put some 10" on my old 02 Ultra and needed longer brake cables. YRMV

Fairing mirrors did not work well with these bars , had to lift and look under arms to see. Also plus 4 on the cables to run back in OEM location.

12" twin peaks on mine & fairing mirrors were unusable. Tried for a week or two to make it work but honestly it was just too dangerous.

I have had everything from 10 to 14 inch on my 14sgs and you can use factory mirror's as long as you don't mind looking under your arms. I can give 2 ***** about my mirrors as I always back them up with physically looking behind me. Don't expect to use the factory lines either they were tight as hell with 10's with my 12's I ran plus 4 inches. I am not one for starting to re routings lines from original positions.
