I'm changing the air cleaner on a 2014 Ultra Limited from a Screamin' Eagle unit to a Big Sucker (with the OEM 103 cover).
The problem is that the SE requires the Throttle Body Support Bracket to be removed and the Big Sucker needs to have it in place, so that the breather bolts are the proper length. Unfortunately, the Bracket didn't come with the bike.
Can washers be used to take-up the gap left by the Bracket or do I need to Bracket for additional support?
Does anyone have one of these laying around (Harley, Kuryakyn, etc.) that they could part with at a reasonable price?
You need the bracket to support the module. Im not familiar with the big sucker, what backing plate does it use? If its backing plate is not designed to also support the Module, then you need the bracket to prevent the module from becoming upset and sucking air at the manifold.
Here's what the Big Sucker backing plate looks like.
that's the same style backing plate I have , SE model and it requires the removal of the support bracket. I may have one laying around. I will pm you if I do.
