What's different about the '09?
in general to comply with CARB regs you can replace a motor with a same type block (lower end)- so in a camaro that came with a 307, you can;t easily put in a big block 396 without a cert process- but you can put in a 302, 350 or a 400 small block.
so the same may carry onto the 120ST ( street) as opposed to the 120R ( Race)- the 120ST has been certified to comply- and carb certs are available online
with all things performance though the dealer is not your best stop for power or cost- it's just now what they do.
most of us violate the emissions regs with a stage 1, using off road, closed course parts.
luckily testing isn;t done anywhere- but it could always come in.
we had testing in a couple of counties in AZ for many years- I would have to really play some tricks to get my BMW to pass.
