One other question from your picture. I see that you did the oil filter relocation to beneath the passenger floorboard correct? If so, what is the the other cylinder that is up front which looks the same?
Is there any problems with trash or rocks or **** like that getting in and messing up the whole shooting match?
I always liked the old school look...
I was wondering the same thing. Occassionally I will get into a section of highway under construction, where traffic is diverted onto the gravel shoulder. Going slower of course, but still wonder if these open units can take that without problems.

If I am not mistaken you "already" have an open unit for final drive. How many problems does that one give you?

I rode a kick start Shovel for four years after a rock popped a hole in the 3 inch belt. Never had a lick of trouble, and when I sold the bike, I pointed out the hole, and the new owner couldn't seem to care less. Belt drives are stupid strong and durable.

I did the same with a 2 inch on my shovel after a dog put his tooth through it while commiting suicide.

The one on the front is the oil filter and the back has been converted to a breather catch can.
