If your talking about an old school 3 inch open belt, BDL style......
Not sure you would be able to keep the floorboards. That would KILL any open belt for me. If you could maintain the boards, I say go for it. Just remember, a Twinkie will NEVER, and I mean freakin' NEVER...... be a Shovelhead. And ain't no belt drive gonna' make it one. Just sayin'......
It's easy, you just have to look in old barns- that's where this one came from. It was stored in a barn for many years. A couple of conversations and an offer and I've had this for near 20 years- the motor and tranny are all new inside the cases- I added the belt drive and a hall effect ignition sensor ( no points)- but still 6 volt.
I had another '53 and a '63 at the time I bought this one.
But this is the only original factory paint Pan I've had- and it's a one-year-only colour. Glamour Green
The beauty of the old machines is you can ride "at the edge" while being under the speed limit
I was born in Red Deer, Dad was stationed at RCAF Penhold.
