I am concerned about the Daymaker passing lamps on my new 2017 Ultra. They both are fogged over inside. Has anyone had this happen to them? I did tow the bike in the rain for several hours two days ago but I would not think that it would cause the fog. May be they will eventually clear up but that does not seem right to me. Was wondering if I could remove them and dry them out? Check the seal or whatever?
My regular old style passing lamps fogged several times on my 2011 Road King. Took it to dealer when still under warranty, of course that plea went no where. Literally in a day or two by chance one guy posted the same issue on these forums and the first response was that it's just dust, jeeesh.
I took off the lenses & minutes later both looked like new after washing them in the kitchen sink with regular dish soap.
You can buy better, but you can't spend more!

I put Daymakers on my 2011 RKC and after riding with the passing lamps on, they do have a fog look to them but when they cool off the fog goes away. Its not a permanent fog on mine. I dont think you can remove the bulbs and wash with alcohol like the halogen bulb lamps. If they are fogged over even after they cool off then I would take back to dealer to cover under warranty.
I have a day maker headlight and I have had the same issue on a couple occasions, but it clears up quickly. It was out of warranty before I noticed it.
I had a aftermarket pair of fog lights on mine that fogged up that I bought on eBay, turned out the lens on both had a broken seal, when I tapped on them they sounded like a loose tile on the floor... if you know what I mean...
