If you don't know whether or not you like studs I don't think asking us whether or not you should like studs is a good idea.
I found a couple of "as new" custom seats for my 2014 Limited, one with chrome studs and one with black. They're both priced at 1/2 of what it cost brand new and have been for sale quite a while.
I'm thinking that the only reason they haven't sold is the studs. In the even that I buy a studded seat and it doesn't fit my keester, I don't want to be in the same boat: Trying to sell something that the majority of people don't want. I've already got enough of that stuff in my shop.

Buy a seat without studs and if you decide you want them, or a different kind other than the round button crap, buy them and add them on. It's really easy.
My 2014 Road King came with black studs on the seat. When I bought a passenger back rest pad, I got the studded one to match. I like them and really don't care whether someone else does or not. It also had some Willie G skull bling that I didn't like, so I sold that and replaced with something I liked.
I just traded off my 14 RK for a new RG, The Glide seat sucks for two up and my wife rides with me a lot, she really liked the RK seat so I got one for the new Glide, studs and all.
