What's wrong with apes? LOL. I love mine. But, if you are less than 6 foot, I doubt you could even reach my grips. I have a rk custom, and the stock beach bar gave me a burn in the back, between the shoulder blades. I went with 18" apes, and after moving them forward more, I love them. I can't see ever switching them out. Now, I have to modify my windsheild to fit with them.[:@]

Take a look at the Wild 1 Chubby website for some great ideas. I have the 508's which have 4 inches more pullback than the stock bars - might be just what you are looking for!
