The last couple of times on my bike it seems the front forks are making a knocking noise when I hit bumps. It seems to be getting worse as time goes on. The bars are solid when running at high speed and taking hands off of grips, no vibrations, seems normal until I hit a bump. Checked everything I could get to and nothing is loose. Thinking maybe head bearing loose but it is smooth as silk until I hit a bump. Any ideas ?
Prob will take it to dealer and have them look at it as it is still under warranty.
Note: I do have almost 50,000 miles on it. 2012 Limited lowered front and rear.
Fork Oil changed twice now with the Heavy weight oil both times.
Hopefully dealer will find something. Kinda concerning not knowing if something is coming apart internally that could fail. Prob will not ride until I get an answer as to what it is.
Have you ever changed the fork oil in that 50 thousand miles?

Put the exact amount back in that was drained out. Went to heavier weight oil ( Screaming Eagle Fork Oil Heavy Weight ) , I think it was labeled, which worked much better than the stock weight the last 2 changes. That was about 8,000 miles ago
