I've tried 'em all. Many great options are available. But I always come back to Liquid Glass. It's actually not a wax, but a synthetic sealant. I have trouble getting it in California (apparently it has too many VOC's to be compliant with state's air quality standards). I can usually get it via eBay sellers though... or bring it in when I find it out of state. I also use the Liquid Glass pre-cleaner to prep. As the name implies, it imparts a very glass-like surface. Also fairly easy on / easy off.

Again, not bashing any products that people like. Detailing has come along way in the last 20yrs. The sealants out now are way easier to work with, last longer, etc. They even have some that you spray on and activate it with a stream of water.
Get a sample of Backfire Wet Diamond, Wolfgang, or 4 Star paint sealant. Try them one time and see what you think.
Now you wouldn't notice much difference on a bike but do a car, truck, or a suburban and compare how much easier the new stuff is to apply and take off. I think you will be surprised.
I've done my share of car detailing, having owned several show quality rides. I was a big fan of meguiars until I was introduced to Croftgate. Their products are nothing short of fantastic. Not a big fan of waterless washes but their stuff works. The quick and slick and project X products are awsome and leave a deep deep shine. I encourage you guys to try it.
