A few years ago had the pleasure of visiting much of southern Utah. Vistas that can't be topped until you get to the next one. One of the highlights for me was sunrise in Monument Valley.....

Here are a couple of mine from 2015 when our HOG Chapter did an overnighter to Monument Valley.
Wonder how many thousands of pictures have been taken of these awesome formations
I'd Suggest for many the Grand Canyon from West to East- maybe Code talkers & plan for Monument Valley later in the day- the colour on the rocks.
( gas in Cameron, Tuba or Kayenta)
I stay at the San Juan Inn, right on the river- the rest. closes at 8 usually- so make sure you eat. Rooms usually $60 depending on season- ask Marc for a discount. Get gas in town too
From Mexican Hat- North up the Moki and my first pic is the Bear's Ears...you can go to Natural Bridges ( the arches on the UT plate) then go East and then South to 4 corners.
from there Cortez CO is a nice stop
( depending from there the trip into CO is nice, or South into AZ and Canyon De Chelly...there is a road which runs arrow straight S to Winslow- this is where sometimes you'll see 200 mph supercars testing their mettle)
This is a full but not hard day with plenty of time to stop- most roads allow an easy 65 MPH
Much of this is on Navajo Land- be cool.
Do watch your speed.
And sometimes the Reservation is on a different time zone...but we use the sun to tell time.
