Had Frogg Toggs and got wet every time I wore them. Ditched them into the trash for the HD HiViz and between the fit and the performance, it was the best choice I've made on riding gear yet.
I have a rev'it 1-piece. Head to toe zippers so goes on super fast. Packs small. In my view, 2-piece leak much more than 1-piece. Also, I use some form of hi-vis supplement. Black rain suits in the rain are just too hard to see.
Get a decent quality one that breathes or you will be in a sweatbox.Nothing sucks more than leaky cheap/old rain gear on a bike.think of overboots and gloves as well.
I have had all the HD suites and they are not worth the price - never stayed dry - went with Frogg Toggs - there Road Toadz model - had leg heat shields but I think they stopped adding that feature but you can add them (they sell a kit).
We drove From San Antonio TX to Florida in nothing but rain and none of us got wet with the Toggs - HD people all got pretty wet - no leaks at all - now if you don't seal/zipper the suite up right, water will get in...my 2 cents but I'll stick with Frogg Toggs and buy one size up....
If you buy Frog Toggs be careful they melt easy .
Ask me how I know . H-D or one with heat proof
pants would be best . As stated earlier it's not that
hard to find used H-D .
Had the Frogg Toggs and ended up spending a bit of time scraping the melted portion off the pipes. When this happens, and it can easily, use a $0.05 Nickel to scrape it off. It won't mar the finish.
Go with a used HD suit. Well made. No issues. I didn't want to spend big bucks either, but after the hole in the leg of the Frogg Togg...you get what you pay for.
I used frog toggs ( light and easy to store) but have used several others over my 50 plus years riding.
FACT : No matter what brand you use IF IT RAINS HARD ENOUGH LONG ENOUGH YOUR GOING TO GET WET.

IF IT RAINS HARD ENOUGH LONG ENOUGH YOUR GOING TO GET WET ... Boy, ain't that the truth :>(
blaming the rain gear for melting on the pipes is pretty friggin lame gents.
You put on a oversized flappy or baggy set of gear and did not even think about contact with the hot pipes that have always been there and when they melt curse the pants !!! That is some funny stuff.
