Default Rain Suit Advice

Normally run from the rain so I don't have much experience here. Planning a 9 day trip around Florida later in February and a good chance I may end up putting on some wet miles.

Any favorites for a light pack-able suit? I'm 6'2" and 200 lb, so I need something longer in the arms and legs.

Thoughts?

Mine is HD, it came from craigslist cheap.

guys get out of riding and sell their gear, tbags etc.

Some get good use from frogg toggs- cheap and pack up small.

what you choose should be easy to get on at the roadside

I am a fair weather rider- on a trip i build in a rain day were I can sit in a room or coffee shop and read john steinbeck for a day

I got my last rain suite for 40-60$(couple web searches) and it was made for mc
(heat resistant spots on the legs, flames on the arms, some reflective trim...ect)
The leg part is almost always in the saddle bag now,but the jacket i multi task it to a nice waterproof textile jacket for all seasons, lite saves room no more heavy bulky damp leather...

two birds one stone kind of thing is my advice

True. Spent two years stationed at Macdill AFB in Tampa... only takes an hour or two of rain to screw up a day though. For the cost of a suit rather be prepared if you know what I mean. Looking at the Nelson Riggs suits on JP Cycles & Revzilla. Getting god reviews for under a $100 bucks.

I use an HD rainsuit, it works perfectly in torrential Florida downpours as long as I get suited up before being soaked.

It's worth getting gator boots, they are great for wet roads and drizzle when I don't want the rain gear pants on. I got mine on Ebay for around $20.

I use Frog Toggs and they haven't failed me, reasonably priced and easily packed.
