Hey guys, what is a decent out the door deal on a black 16 or 17 Roadking with hard bags?
Paying cash.Thanks
On the new 2016, take $3000 off actual MSRP, then plus tax, title and fees.
On the new 2017, take $2000 off actual MSRP, then plus tax, title and fees.
This would be my offer to buy it today. Walk if they don't sell it for that. They will likely call you back.
If buying a used FL model it's a whole new conversation.
You can wheel and deal on the 15 and 16 RK's if you can find one but dealers are holding the line at MSRP or very close for the 17's, they will deal on all the extra fee's and dealer setup costs.
Looked at a 2017 Blue/Silver RK with 2K on it for $16,500. Test rode and was ready to buy when the sales manger said sorry their mistake it's not for sale it was going to be a raffle bike. Then he says he sell me a new V Black one for the same price. Negotiated up a new Blue/Silver with ABS, out the door 18,495. I'm happy. Shop around, don't be intimidated, it's nothing personal just business, a buck in his pocket or yours. I work hard for my money whether it's earned or saved through negotiations. On this deal I said take off/reduce the doc fee, I'll stand in line at the DMV for the prices most dealers charge. When they won't budge on price ask for extras, service contract, ext warranty. There's always another dealer even if it a 100 miles away.

Gotta be a regional thing with prices then, bastards out here are not moving off MSRP pricing and I've been hunting since Aug. Did make a nice deal for mine with a lot of extras for that MSRP so I'm good with it.

It is somewhat regional. Also remember when negotiating, the Road King buyers are better at it.
