It is very regional and very dealer oriented. I got mine right before christmas last year and got a great deal on the bike and my trade. 3gs off on a leftover might be doable but finding one can be a bitch. Most of the dealers around here have one maybe two on the floor. The fairing bikes are everywhere in numbers.

OTD price is just about impossible to suggest or compare because of differences in taxes, registration fees, doc fees, bs dealer fees, etc. But, fyi, invoice is just about 20% off of MSRP. Make you're offer from there, backed up with what you think are valid reasons for that offer. I know I can come up with more reasons why a $500 profit on a leftover RK is a fair deal than any dealer can come up with reasons why he should get a $3000 profit on the same bike. Just my opinion, but if I was buying a '16, I'd probably keep my money in the bank and take the 0.9 apr financing H-D is offering.

Looked at a 2017 Blue/Silver RK with 2K on it for $16,500. Test rode and was ready to buy when the sales manger said sorry their mistake it's not for sale it was going to be a raffle bike. Then he says he sell me a new V Black one for the same price. Negotiated up a new Blue/Silver with ABS, out the door 18,495. I'm happy. Shop around, don't be intimidated, it's nothing personal just business, a buck in his pocket or yours. I work hard for my money whether it's earned or saved through negotiations. On this deal I said take off/reduce the doc fee, I'll stand in line at the DMV for the prices most dealers charge. When they won't budge on price ask for extras, service contract, ext warranty. There's always another dealer even if it a 100 miles away.
