Not trying to de-rail this thread but has anyone tried the Rifle windshield that's 3" wider than stock? Just wondering if there's any real added protection from the elements, primarily in bad weather.

I have a Deuce, but will tell you this.
I have a Rifle shield on my 05 Deuce. It is great! It's taller and wider and mounts very clean and easy. On/off in 2 minutes with 4 screws. All of Harley's shields for the Deuce are junk!!!!!!!!! I spent over $400 trying both of them. Never again!
I have a stock sheild on my bike, but after adding my 18" apes, I will have to modify it, or buy a shorter one.[:@]But, without the apes, the stock windsheild was great. I am tall, and never looked through the sheild, always over it. But, it is nice to have that wind break. Makes you a lot less tired at the end of a ride, not having to fight the wind.
