Thinking about getting a road king. Probably used. I want one of the ones with hard bags. What year or years should I avoid and what year or years should I look at.
I have an 09, no cats standard on 09, new frame, wider tires, 96 engine. I have a Classic which has tank badges instead of decals, nice, cleaner fender tips without the bumpers. I added hard bags, which I like better than the leather and a trunk. Very happy.

Reason: spelling
The features I'd be wanting on a used Roadking would be
A 6 speed transmission, preferably with the 103 motor or better yet the new M8 motor.
ABS Brakes (a must have)
Cruise Control (a must have)
Hard Bags
Mag Wheels (Don't want Wires and Whitewalls)
The 180 rear tire (not the old skinny 130's)
