Default Installed Fuelmoto stage 1

Spent this weekend installing my Fuelmoto setup on my 2015 Road Glide, currently has 20,000 miles. Mostly use this bike for long trips. Purchased over Thanksgiving finally got to installing it.

Installed
  • 212 SS headpipe
  • Jackpot 4" Mufflers
  • Power Vision with tune recommended and supplied by Fuelmoto

Some install observations;
Wow, these Fuelmoto 212s are light compared to the stock HD Pipes. Headpipe was a bit of a challenge as everybody has discussed. I ended up taking the transmission exhaust bracket off and bending it up a 1/16" and bolted it back on pushing at high as I could. Gained another 1/16". Was able to snap the rear port in finally. I had no confidence in my Advance Auto torque wrench so ran out for a new one.

Wow, these Jackpot mufflers are heavy compared to stock. Easy to put on and bolt up. Now I'm wondering if the weight of the new setup nets out the same or more over stock.

Flashed the ECM. Easy peasey.

50 mile test ride this morning. My goal was to reduce the heat, when I ordered this set up, Bob mentioned several times the improved throttle response. I know there is a gain in torque and hp, but I never felt this bike was lacking. Another Wow. Bob was right. Almost no throttle lag time, beautiful down shifts. Engine braking to acceleration control out of turns was perfect. I mean the power is just right there waiting for you as you exit a turn. Just the throttle control improvement was worth it. 2nd gear became usable for low speed maneuvering.

I was a little concerned about the bark on acceleration. It pretty much disappears at cruise speed. 6th gear has real roll on acceleration. Found myself using the exhaust bark in cager pinball traffic. Pulled into a gas station and a millennial on his cell started to back into me. Gave him a couple barks on the throttle and brought him to a stop. 50 degrees today, so couldn't tell you about the heat reduction.

Always loved the feel of the Rushmore Road Glide for travel. This is a big unexpected and welcome improvement.

Good right up. Did you change the air intake?

Thanks and enjoy.

I agree, but left hand was feathering clutch at parking lot speed turn. And I needed an alert sooner than I could find the horn button with my gloved thumb. I believe in using all tools as needed.
