got a 09 ultra my battery went dead ,got it charged but still nothing ! how do I redo security on it ? I have lights and everything , is there a fast fix ?
When you turn on the fuel switch does it prime the fuel lines? When you go to start it does it click or anything? Voltage may be fine for the lights but not to start it. Personally I would bring it to an auto parts store and have them load test it. If its the original battery its likely dead.
There shouldn't be anything you need to do to reset security.. but checking the battery in your fob may be a good idea as well.

the fuel switch is priming , no click or anything , what happened was ,I just moved and took bike over to another garage , when I hooked up the tender again I didn't check to see if it was on 6 or 12 , long story short I had it on 6 , went to ride Saturday and wouldn't start (dead battery ) I put it back on tender on 12 volt and now it shows full charge , but nothing , I don't think it's original battery
3 if no to both of those AND the battery is known to be fully charged- you can make a jumper wire from the battery + to the solenoid on the starter- remove the green wire, attach your jumper * crimped on terminal is best) and touch the other end to the battery + or to the battery tender pigtail + recessed socket.
make sure the bike is in neutral, because if the battery has power, the starter WILL turn
that may get the bike running but won;t show the cause of your problem
if you are unsure about battery condition, take it out and charge it with a charger ( not a tender) then load test it. while you have it out, check the cable connections at both ends.
new battery time? wscott posts regularly on batteries and prices- anywhere for $100 for the big crank to $132 for the yuasa

A tender will not charge a dead battery and I believe the battery needs to have at least 11 volts to kick the tender in. (but I could be wrong on that)

I've had mine on tender for 4 days . So if a tender won't
charge it should it go on regular charger for a day then
go to tender ? My dumbass left key on after last ride . I
didn't notice it for 4 days . Battery only a couple years old .
