Anyone tried the 30k? and Revzilla price on 20S is approx. $450 is that about the best I can find them for?
Thanks in advance.
You can call Adam @ Rocketmoto. He is an electrical genius and to me is like the Howard of the bike electronics/communications world. I have been buying from him for years now and he can even wire up better speakers and set everything up before being sent out.
We use the UClear boomless communication system. It does all the things you want along with the fact that there are no booms to get in the way. We love them and they work great. http://ucleardigital.com/product-cat...th/motorcycle/
Been running the SMH10's for about 4 years now. Have had 4 connected for our trip to Sturgis a few years ago. The communication part of the is great, however the music quality is lacking.
Run it on my half helmet and also full face. No problem communicating on either.
I tried the Cardo Scala Rider...you may actually be able to find it on the side of the road somewhere along the road in the Kansas City area. Constant disconnection and lost pairing. I finally had enough and didn't want to stress out for the rest of my ride so I threw it in the ditch.
Made the same experience as dixonk!
If any one of you guys ever comes to Germany, he`ll find our Cardo Scala Rider Teamset somewhere along the road in the Munich area.
We installed the Cardo-setup on our helmets for being able to communicate on a rental bike. Disappointed, we came home, tried it on our Ultra and ...see above.
Remorsefully got back to the wired system.

Using this setup with FF helmets. It works very well. No boom and if running with loud pipes or have a wife that speaks very softly, this is a great addition.
I'm looking to add a wireless system for long trips. I just don't want to be tied to the HD corded system. We typically wear half helmets. Is it a requirement/necessary to use the removable ear flaps? Is there any other way to install the speakers?

Both of the systems that have been discussed allow the use of ear buds. You do have to be careful of state laws. Here in Georgia ear buds are not legal to ride with.
