Default Monotube ?

'10 RK.. Think I screwed up and looking for opinions . Have one inch lower mono's and not happy with the rebound as it is harsh. Just put on chrome lowers and after reading so many posts about "clips" being used I contacted progressive as I didn't have any clips and explained my problem and they sent me free of charge clips and a recommendation to use two clips per tube. Now after more reading I believe the ride through rough roads is going to be worse. Don't get me wrong , the ride on nice roads is great but her in CT. we have some bad areas to ride.
Asking what you all think. I don't mind spending for a better ride and installed a set of Howards shocks on the rear and am totally satisfied. Wish I hadn't put the mono's on until after getting the Ohlins as I would have tried Howards front suspension first.
Any input appreciated as there is plenty of "snow " time to change the front for a better ride.
Thanks in advance ~ Nels

Going 1" lower is part of your problem as you now have less travel, putting the clips on will only stiffen it up more - I installed the progressives in my front end, liked but didn't love them as they were only a single tube with a spring in the other side - switched to the AXEO's and much happier

JMC22 Thank You , this is what I felt was going to happen. I'll check into AXEO's and Motorcycle Metal. Have lots more reading to do.

I got my AXEO's from Iron Aces. If you call them you can get them for 675.00. Mine are installed can't comment on the ride to cold here. Saturday might reach 60 but today 25 degrees. I know I'm a softy. Good luck

Thinking about just getting them as I know I don't care for the mono's. Do I need to have any of the stock parts to install the Axeo's or are they a complete drop in? There video says something about using a stock bottom part which I don't know what it is and I've discarded all the original unit.
