Ive seen pics on here of fellas using a tourpack as a back rest. What is needed exactly to make this happen? Ive got a 12 rk with the 4 point docking kit on it. I am still narrowing down options for a tourpack though. I do like the little pizza box styles, Not real fond of the huge packs.. Anyways, What brackets and other things are needed to move the pack forward to allow me to use it as a back rest? Thanks for any input.
Mine attaches to the sissy bar and sits on the passenger seat (see attached pictures). No special equipment required. It comes with straps you can put under the seat or you can just use a couple of bungees.

Looks like a nice setup.. And, with the rack, you can flip it around when you have a passenger.
Detachable solo tour pak mount. Only needs a 2 point docking setup, but works with the 4 point. I have a CVO lumbar adjustable tour pak backrest. It helps sit me forward a little more, and allows me to adjust my position a little on the fly.
Not to many options available to use the tourpack backrest only. You would have to have a longer than normal seat to achieve that then change out to longer bars to be able to reach.
I would assume there is not a mount to keep a 2up seat?
Legends makes a sliding tour pak mount. It comes with a 2 piece seat. You still have to remove the passenger pad before you slide it forward. The Harley mount does require a solo seat.

Come again?

As hairymoth said, I just turn mine around and set it on the luggage rack when I have a passenger. The luggage rack on my Dyna was permanently mounted but the sissy bar and luggage rack on my street glide are removable.
