Hey guys. I have an 06 ultra when pulling out from a stop the bike hesitates which sucks in the middle of a turn. I know it has to do with the injectors. Suggestions on new injectors that will remedy this problem
My 06 RK does that usually once in a ride then not again until the next ride. I have a PV tuner and will be taking the bike to be dyno tuned so I'm hoping that will fix it.
Just pulling a reason out of a hat will run you broke. What makes you think it is injectors?
Dirty fuel filter pin hole in fuel pick line cold be a lot of things.
Is that the year that had the injector wiring too short? I've read on here about guys buying the injector pigtail from Napa. Complaint was the injector wires would break and lose contact intermittently. Guys replace with the Napa part and leave a little extra slack in the wires. Just throwing it out there.
It was a recall in 06. wrong degree of angle on the fuel spray. They changed them out IF you were having problems. I had same issue as you last spring. Tried injector cleaner, etc and over time it just got worse. She would cough and die on takeoff, and while running down the road, even when warmed up. Turns out the AIT (air intake temperature) sensor was all gunked up. It is on the left side of your throttle body and sticks out just inside the throat. Easy to clean, but this still did not solve my problem completely, just improved it a bit. Then someone on the forum suggested the TPS (throttle position) sensor, so I changed it out ($50) and sure enough, problem solved! It is located on the left side of throttle body. The bar that crosses your throttle body that the butterfly is attached to rotates inside of the sensor and tells your ecm where the throttle position is. Good luck and hope this helps.
There is a way to test the ohms on that sensor, but its over my head. Do a search here on the forum. Thats where I saw the how to instructions. I got lucky just changing it out, but that is not the best way, could be throwing money out the door.
