I have an 06 Ultra with a Screaming Eagle air cleaner and V&H twin slash slip ons. I want to put a tuner on that will work with this but be able to handle a cam upgrade in the near future. Thinking a V&H fuel pak, or dyno jet power commander 5-any thoughts or experiences ???
I would recommend the PV moving forward. Get it from FuelMoto and you get great support for it as well. The FP3 will do the same I'm told. I like the PV because you get a display unit that is easy to customize whereas with the FP3 you leverage your smartphone for that purpose.
the 06 won;t be able to use the newer generation tuners
I'm using the same Power Vision on my 15 StreetGlide as I used on my 06 SuperGlide. Only thing I had to do was buy a 6 pin cable and replace the 4 pin cable it came with. That and buy a new license. Exactly the same unit as they still sell today.

Many choices but if you want to do it yourself or have someone else do it really matters. Since your bike is a 2006 it is not equipped with O2 sensors so the automated tools that come with a TTS or PV are not going to do you any good as there is no sensors for them to read, to aid you in tuning the fuel side of things. If your going to pay to get it tuned your best bet is to talk with that person and get what they want to use.
Very happy with my FP3. I just swapped in new cams and 2 into 1 exhaust. I started the bike and it ran ok but with some popping. I looked at the FP3 on my phone and looked up my cams and a 2 into 1 and installed a new map and its good now.
The power vision is a far superior product than the Fuel pak. It will give you a lot more options for tuning.I had a FP that crapped out on me when I was on a trip so I had it removed and had to get a stage 1 flash from a dealer for peace of mind until I got home.

You could ask your tuner to add bung holes for the O2 sensors (I have a 97 and my tuner did this). You could plug them after tuning (mine is as I have carb) or leave them in permanently - which would sound like the best option. I'd think you would have to modify your heat shields for proper fit.
I can only speak about the 06 SuperGlide I personally owned, but it DID have 02 sensors.
'06 Dyna models got O2 sensors but that was it for that year. '07 is when they added them across the product line. '06 Dyna's also got an one year only engine/trans combination too.
If the OP wants to add O2 sensors you could then use the tuning aids provided in tuning software for the fuel side only.
