Redline Shockproof Gear Oil
This stuff is the sheet. Best $9 spent on my bike. The way I see it, motor oil is meant for a motor, and gear oil is meant for gears. The Shockproof comes in 3 flavors...heavy, lightweight, and super light weight. I went with the lightweight and all I can say is the ol' girl is much happier to be ridden now that she is properly lubed up! Took some doing, but I was able to find it at a speed shop about 15 miles from my house.

Order it off the web. I order enough at a time for ayears worth of oil, primary and tranny fluid changes. Just keep it in the garage and when I finish the last of it, I order more and it's there in a few days. Can't beat it.

Redline Shockproof Heavy -- the bomb!!!! Just changed it today based on recommendations from this forum. Rides like a new bike. Zero noise coming from the tranny and shifts like a dream.

I switched to Amsoil SVG 75-90 and I think it's shifting louder/harder and the 5th gear whine is just as loud as ever. I had BelRay prior to that. I will switch over to Redline next time and hopefully have better luck.
