So I checked and rechecked the Drag specialties urethane mount. Loosened it enough to see that none of the bolt were binding. Everything is as it should be. A little buz around 2500 for just a second but on deceleration the bike shakes now. This mount I have to assume is too hard or maybe that's the way it should be. Ok fine, ill call HD and get a stock mount. Nope been replaced with a new and improved HARDER one for longevity. Was told to expect a little more vibration. H*ll, that's why I was changing it. So I found this mount from Glide-pro. Called a cool dude in Ramona California and talked to him about it. He said I can send you one. Trouble is takes a while to get through our ever so vigilant Canadian customs. You know just so they get their cut of the action. (That's whats important with them, tax revenue). Got a name in Lethbridge Alberta of a Canadian contact. He has one. Will cost me well over 200. I'm almost tempted to put the original rubber one back in split and all. At least the bike didn't buz with it in. What a joke and Ya I know........go ahead every one say it...say it. Welcome to the world of owning a Harley............................................ .............

I did the two washer shim with the front mount on my Dyna and noticed less vibration. My Fatty seems smooth. I don't sure other models have the issue.

Removal of the frame to mount bolts and installing a washer in-between the frame and front engine mount to give a little backward adjustment of the engine. Some people said it worked to stop vibration and I was one.

Just put a new stock H-D one in. Will get rid of the vibrations and will work just fine.

Johnnyh14, are you saying to loosen off the mount from the frame and slide a washer under each side of the new mount? I'm using currently the urethane mount (new). How will this help with vibrations. What size washer and will that hold the engine up higher by that amount? The bolts are not binding the way it sits now

That's what the link in post #5 was about. You want to search out the original mount, part number 16207-79B. You can find them on ebay and amazon for ~$30.

I would replace all 3 mounts at the same time because if the front one is bad likely the back are shot too.
Ummm.... it's my understanding that most of the issues with the front mount is that their design meant that oil that was spilled during an oil/filter change caused the rubber mounts to disintegrate due to their design and material. The newer mounts are urethane and have a sloped sliced off cone shape instead of the original design.

I have heard great things about the Glide Pro mounts... but they most certainly aren't cheap... hmmmm... maybe that's why you have to replace the originals?

cwsharp, I never noticed a sloped slice off although I wasn't looking for it either. Is that in the Drag specialties urethane or a different brand. On the off chance the one I have has that, I may have this slope facing the wrong way. Thanks for the input, ill have to check that out.
