It's like a chopped off upright traffic cone. The issue I'm talking about though isn't who made it... it was the solution to the problem which was the oil made the material fail to the point that the vibration got pretty bad. Harley makes a replacement that is urethane and cone shaped... and I'm sure so to others. A set of Glide pro included the upper and lowers on the front I believe. I have a buddy that wanted to fix his dyna until he priced the Glide Pro version...

I'm running the Drag Specialties front motor mount on my 07. I did update my swingarm bushings at the same time I swapped the front mount. You will feel more vibrations through your floorboards with a urethane front mount, but you'll also have better handling, and less possibility of bagger wobble.

I have the Glide Pro installed on my 07 Street Glide for over two years with no issues. Less vibration especially stopped at idle, where before my hands would get numb from all the vibrations. I have no "wobble" issues no matter what speed I go on turns etc. But I also have JRI shocks which helped my handling with bumps and cornering.

fOR MY '06,I bought a cheapy aftermarket front mount on ebay[about 35 bucks] Installed and ran it loose,as you did.Snugged up the bolts-went for a ride and the foot boards were vibrating like crazy.
About 25 miles from home,I decided to ride for an hour or so,and go home,'cause it was a perfect day. I did that, and by the time I had 65 or 70 miles on it,it had completely smoothed out and felt like a new bike.

I think that this is the way I will go when my motor mount is due.
Sometimes we just have to pony up and get something that works.
After purchasing one of the drag specialties urathene motor mount off of e-bay, removing my old , installing the new one correctly(exactly like cajun1957a did) and then riding for about 25 miles rattling my teeth, hands, feet and a piece of trim to no end, I removed it and re-installed the old one and the ride is good again.
The OEM looked as if it was cracked, but upon further investigation after removing it, it was only some paint cracking(why it's painted I don't know).
Now, upon looking at the POS urethane one, it looks to me like it is no more than a steel spacer between the angled motor mount and the frame, with very little to NO urethane isolating the vibrations.
I'll post some pieces of the mount(if i can figure out how) after I removed it, for all to see the wear marks on the metal spacer that is disguised as black urethane.... L O L.

Keep in mind, this is the new drag specialties urethane replacement part with approx. 25 miles on it.......
