Installed my oem lowers about one month ago on my 16 rgs. They make a huge difference on the air coming up around the tank. Really dress up the bike.
Mine came in a about 16 pieces in a large box. NO instructions. I think they want you to have the dealer install them.
They can be a bit of a puzzle, take your time, view a u tube video. The tricky part is attaching the arm from the vent control lever to the vent. Once you figure out the first one the next will be easy. Good luck
Short angled mounts work great. Uncle has been rocking them as long as I can remember. Trick is to be able to put heel on the board, toe on peg. Boot arch on the peg. And boot up and over the peg and be comfortable in all 3 positions. Look at the pics of them installed. Long puts the peg at brake pedal thats really close. Shorts put the peg real close to even with the lower.
Ya I have the magnetic doors. Work great way easier. I'm thinking of putting a cup holder on the left side. Have to go back to the snaps if I did. Doors are real cheap if I didnt like it or only wanted it sometimes.
I just installed the DK Custom Cooling Deflector Wings on my Street Glide. They fit between the lowers and the tank. So far I like the results. Less wind up around the tank and more directed to the motor.
