Short angled mounts here too. I thought I'd remove lowers in summer but it's never happened. Great for some rain protection also. And another location for speakers

Put the lowers on last night, but it was 10 pm before I got done. I didn't get to take it for a ride. Bad storms in the Carolinas today and wind gusts up to 40mph today and tomorrow. Looks like the test ride wont happen till Saturday.

UPDATE: Just took the bike for the first ride since adding the lowers. WOW. I never imagined how much difference these would make in regards to all the air that flows from under the tank, up and around the top of the tank and into my chest/chin area. I would always get tons of buffeting and bad swirling air coming up around the tank. It drove me nuts with the constant air hitting my legs and chest area. ALL of that is gone with the lowers. There is ZERO and I MEAN ZERO air coming up around the bottom/rear of the tank now. My legs are not taking a beating with wind either. AMAZING. the only wind I still get is what is still coming over the top of my 12 inch Klockwerks flare windshield. That I can deal with until I come up with funds for the 14 inch.

When I installed lowers on my '11 FLHR, it already had fork fangs on it. Zero, (and I mean zero wind coming up from the tank area and I'm 6' tall).
But if there was rain four miles away, it would find my knees and then trickle down my pants or chaps to my soon to be soaked boots.
Lowers help, but not the 100% solution.
I just started to install some Advan Black $159 ones on my present bike and wished I went that route before and opted to pass on the genuine over priced HD versions.

I never had lowers until I purchased an Ultra in 2009. After that I ordered the color matched lowers for my 14 SGS and my 16 RGS. I wouldn't ride without them now especially when touring. They make that much of a difference.

yep it fits fine. I have one on my bike. not sure if I notice a difference with it or not though.

Also, found out that the cheap snap on door/covers are a joke hard as crap to snap on. Ill be ordering the magnetic doors for sure
if you have short legs like I do, then the long angled are very comfortable. my legs are short enough that I can put my toes on the highway pegs, but not my whole foot.

and yes, the magnetic doors are worth the investment.

every spring, I take the vents off, and then put them back on in the winter. i'm able to do it without taking the lowers off the bike. do have to remove the top cap though.
