If you really want a better suspension, save your money and get Ohlins. The new ones on the 17's will have the same crappy dampening issue as the air shocks. Sure, you don't need an air pump anymore, but it uses nitrogen and as you turn the **** for compensating for ride height, you are making the dampening worse. The 17's only have one 'real' shock on the left side. The right side is a 'dummy shock', similar to the single cartridge in the forks.

Keep in mind that what they did with the front end and the rear at the same time was the major improvement. When I had my 2016 I was going to buy the premium ones. Dealer talked me out of it. He made it clear if I did not do front also I would not be happy with them. He then put me on one that had the first generation premiums and nothing done up front. He was right so I stayed with my air shocks. Then I purchased a 2017 and yes the ride it much better.

Dont buy the set...Buy the individuals from Jon at Horny Toad HD...for me under $370 shipped...new
They are night and day over the air shocks on my 16 RGU, BUT also change out the front to cartridges (I went progressive monotubes)..the difference is ridiculous..if you have the budget, go ohlin I guess..but for around $750 in parts, I did front and rear...totally different bike...
Good Luck!!!
