You don't want to use blue Loctite on the primary bolts. Antisiege is called for

Love torx.

Don't always believe the non-critical fastener torque settings, particularly on small fasteners. Some really are tighter than necessary.

I almost always replace with chrome bolts(usually HD) and a little anti seize, no problems. The correct bit and small hand impact has worked.

I found some proper size non stainless chrome bolts at ACE. They had stainless, but I passed.

No need for loctite on something like that. I did put some Permatex high temp thread sealant on the bolts.

At least with an allen wrench, if it get rounded off you can grind it down.

Or grab the head with small vise grips and remove bolt.

I'm in the love torx camp too. I built a dog kennel. The decking screws I bought are torx head. Never slip or strip. Much better than Phillips, square, or the hybrid Phillips-square drive screws. I use my 12v DeWalt cordless impact to remove the bolts from the derby, if I can't break them loose with my 1/4"drive screwdriver handle. I tighten them by hand with the screwdriver handle. My torx drivers are from AutoZone. Better quality than craftsman. I've broke more craftsman brand torx and Allen sockets than I care to admit.

I had the same problem. I carefully cut a slot across the head of the torx bolt and use a manual impact driver to remove.

I have one, and had it ready, but the massive screw driver and channel locks did the trick.

That damn bolt was so soft I was paranoid the impact driver would snap off the slot I cut in the bolt on the first hit.
