Default Combination Analog Speedometer/Tachometer

So, my OL is thinking about this speedometer for her 2013 Road King:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...PAC+PDP+Bottom

Part Number 70900070B.

Specific questions - does anybody have any experience with it? If so, thoughts?

She's interested in the gear indicator - the stock speedo only has a 6th gear indication. Does this speedo give more than just 6th? For those that are going to chime in with, "Nobody needs that", I know - but she'd like to add it.

Also, the color tone options - anybody have any issues with that?

Thanks in advance!

I like it. I'd have it if I did not have a police King with a seperate tach. IRRC, the gear indicator works on CANBUS bikes, so it should work.

I think being able to set your own colors is a great feature. Never heard of problems with that.

I have had the analog speedo/tach combo for a few years now. If she chooses to purchase it she'll be very happy with it. It looks very nice. I have not had any problems at all with it aside from some minor condensation issues but that is well documented on these units.

As far as the gear indicator, it shows each gear, not just 6th. Gears 1-5 are shown on the bottom of the display and 6th is a green light on the speedo. You can opt not to display the gear indicator as well.

The colors are endless. You can change the color of the backlight, display, speedo needle and tach needle. The speedo has a photocell so the colors don't display during daylight hours. I have not had any issues with the colors or changing the colors.

I say go for it.

Sometimes dealers have used bikes that have them. Might be worth a call or looksie. My buddy has it on his '11 RK and, to me, the gear indicators are small. But then again, my peepers aren't what they use to be. Everything else I like, including the miles remaining 'til empty.

I have one on mt 2009 Night Train and like it. I bought it for the integrated tach and fuel gauge. The gear indicator, while not needed is nice to be able to glance down and see what gear I'm in while cruising around.

Better half has it on her Fat Boy S and loves it. Have not had any condensation issues and the colors/ability to turn things on/off is pretty cool. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

This is on my to-do list for my 2012 RKC, I think it looks great and adds a lot of functionality. It's pricy though, but I guess what isn't.

Got one from my kids for Chistmas. Waiting for the weather to warm up a bit before I install it. I have a 2013 anniversary RK. Can't wait to try it out. Looking forward to having the gear indicator and tach.

Check the price at boardtrackerharleyonline.com. It is one of the places I like to order from.
