While doing my first three hole oil change, unscrewed the wrong plug. A color green fluid came out. Don't know what it is but it's not neither one of the ones I was supposed to do. It's up front of the engine. Trying to find out what it is? If anybody knows I'll appreciate.
like that other post i sent you to- that is a pipe thread plug- over tightening it WILL crack your motor cases- cost about $3000
you NEED to either get the book with torque values OR get an expert
I think it is:
Installation/Apply Loctite Pipe
Sealant With Teflon 565 torque to 120-144 in-lbs
but I'm not 100%- my manual is for the 2009 model.
VERY IMPORTANT that you do NOT cross thread this or strip it.
by hand with plug on an allen driver- put the plug in place and turn COUNTER clockwise until you feel a "click"- at this point the threads will be lined up and BY hand turn the plug in clockwise
then use a torque wrench to 10 or 12 ft lbs...120~144 inch pounds.
do not halfass this
Mike

it's a "guy" thing- you can see all the parts so you go at it without thinking.
lotso guys who wouldn;t think of changing the sparkplugs on the mini van will go at a motorcycle and get 1/2 way through a bar swap, oil change or cams and then realize that they are over their head...or worse, cause damage
there are ALL kinds of jobs I won;t even try.
but I have the book
