I have a decorative medallion on my air cleaner cover. I parked in the paid lots behind Main St. at Daytona when we were there in 2015. On the ride back to the hotel one night, the whole air cleaner cover medallion, cover, screw, washer etc.) fell off. (Fortunately, it happened right before a stoplight and I found all the pieces in the street.
The only thing that made sense to me was that someone was trying to steal it and got interrupted. In all the years I've ridden and all the miles I've covered, I've never seen that screw come loose at any other time. Can I say that was what happened for sure? No.

Cagers texting is not exclusive to Daytona. Not to hijack thread but when are LEOs gonna start enforcing the laws and ticket texters? Glad you had good time at Daytona.
