Does anyone know what PPU 51502 code. The engine light and keylight came on today. The speedo went goofy as well right after I washed it. Hint to self, Something may have got wet. But I go through the diagnostic codes and all ten are clear except after the tenth one A PPU appears then when I press the button 51502 comes up.
Hi, I just made my first post, and it is in re; to same PPU 51502. Did you find out what it was all about and were you able to clear it?
Thanks, Smccabe
I think PPU has do to with the speedometer sensor...I just googled it so not sure.
My key light was coming on last year,I put a new battery in the Fob and reset the alarm.
Found this on a HD code search site, “codes most likely can’t be deciphered without the HD Electrical Diagnostics Code Manual”. ($129). I can’t find a pdf of that anywhere online..
From what I gathered while breezing over the lengthy write up, the letter represents a catagory, (P, U) the first two numbers place the code in its ranking (51 - current/historic), and the following numbers relate to the code definition.(502) VSS High Open can-bus
VSS Speed Failed Low
This should confuse everybody well enough..To be honest I’m not sure this is of any significance. The only part I really understand is, it’s $129 to get code definitions.. lol

Reason: Attempt at clarifying.
I remember after researching my code issue was to turn the bike ignition on and off. I think it was like 50 times to clear any historically codes. After that I have never seen it since. I don't know what caused mine to initially cause it but its gone and has never returned.
