Hey, thanks very much for allof the responses. I'm pretty happy with the RK overall, but wouldn't mind if HD offered a Road King Slim. As far some of the suggestions, I've owned Sporty's and Softails in the past, so maybe a Dyna down the road is a possibility. If I don't do any long distance rides over the next year or two, I'll probably go that direction. If HD wanted to, I'm pretty sure they could build a long distance tourer that didn't weigh 900lbs.
Thanks to those that suggested I lose some lbs., but I'm one of those guys that has for over 30 yrs watched what I eat, weigh the same or less than I did almost 40 yrs. ago and hit the gym for some cardio/weight training at least 3/week.
While some other makes have some very nice touring bikes in the 600lb range, BMW, I think that overall, HD has a better product. I'll stick with HD, just maybe not the RK
