Default Road King

I have a 2007 Road King and just recently had the engine light and battery light come on while riding. Nothing was affected and they went out while riding. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? I'am strapped financially so hope someone can give me answers i can take care of myself without having to go to mechanic. THANKS!

if its not the obvious... like low oil and bad battery, check wiring under seat and tank for something possibly shorting out and turning on the lights, may just have to wait for them to not be intermittent.

Check what codes were stored when the light came on, free to do!
