This is my current and first Harley, a 96 PE. Been a crotchrocket guy for years until I road my step dad's soft tail. I knew then I had to get a Harley! It is the Carolina blue but the top pic what the plan is for it. Since I'm prior service Army I figured that I have to rock a Military theme and I just love the way a RK looks with that style!
First, thank you for your service.
I just don't think you should change 1 thing on this bike. Except maybe going to wire spoke wheels. Maybe get another bike that's not so classic and perfectly weathered like your current bike.
Hey guys a few questions if anybody can provide some feedback. So i got my bike used and was just wondering if some items were stock features or upgraded .
appears to have upgraded screaming eagle slip on exhaust
upgraded LED headlight day maker projection
ape handlebars.

Not sure what feedback you are looking for, but: Yes, those are not stock items. Though I've never seen SE slip one with logos like that, but thats just me. Yes, new handlebars were installed. The headlight doesn't look like a HD branded LED. But I can't tell from the photo. Does it have a bar and shield logo on the lens or reflector? Pretty sure all the HD branded ones do.
However as far as the LED's go, there are plenty of quality manufacturers out there that are as good or better then the HD branded stuff. I bought the newest model JW Speaker (who is, or was at least the company from where HD bought and rebranded their Daymakers) 7" and Aux lights for about half what I would have paid for HD branded stuff and I'm nothing but pleased with them. Personally I avoid the unknown brands, but that doen't make them bad. Just personal preference.
I finally added Amazon Lower Fairings to my Road King Special today. I removed the highway pegs, installed the lowers, and then re-installed the highway pegs all in about an hour and 15 minutes. Since most of the front and lower parts of the bike are powder coated, I went with Vivid Black lowers. I really like how it came out !!!
Been through this thread a few times. I can't possibly try to look again. Does anyone have a C&C seat on their RKS?? The stock seat leaves a lot to be desired. Pretty sure my wife will hate it. None of my dealers around here do demo seats anymore, so thats out. I understand seats are subjective, like windshields and everything else, but I am open to suggestions.

Got the Sport Touring on mine without gel.... My wife and I love it! A bit pricey depending on what you want, but well worth it. Made it from mid-Florida to the Dragon and back with plenty of rides in between and had no issues at all. It sat me lower and back about an inch both ways. That worked for me, but just be aware of that change.

Thats a nice looking seat. Thanks for the reply. If you don't mind me asking, how much did something like that set you back?? Their website is kind of hard to follow.

I added a fairing, would like your thoughts on color. Black or Color Match? I don't love the fairing finish/feel. I also can't seem to easily find a local/good person to paint it.
