Hello everyone! I am trying to hook up speakers and an amp for my road king but Im having trouble in regards to the remote wire for the amp. I have been told I could use a fuse tap to go from the amp to a fuse but I dont which fuse to tap. Any advice?
Pick up the HD electrical accessory harness. It plugs into your accessory plug under the right side panel and gives you wires for constant and switched power. No splicing or tapping into wires
Question for the group here. I have a 19 RKS and I am wanting to put the auxiliary light kit on it (well sort of). I want to move my turn signals down from the bars and add passing lamps but instead of using the hardware from kit 67800366A, i want to take a deluxe passing lamp bracket, powder coat it gloss black, and use it instead of the custom aux lamp hardware (assuming this works, both are FL front ends). Does anyone know if you can get the passing lamp wires in kit 67800366A outside of that kit? If so, do you know the Harley part number? I could save some money if I can buy those two wire harnesses/plug kits separate than the whole aux lamp kit.
Pic for attention

Reason: misspelling

Short answer, Yes
Longer answer, you'll probably have to do some fabrication to get the deluxe bracket to fit.
I went with a standard Road King setup, I wired the passing lamps myself as I was leaving the turn signals on the bars. It's actually in the shop right now getting the turn signals below the passing lamps (I didn't have the time and it's hot a hell in the garage this time of the year). Their charging me 2 hours for the relocation.
Hey Guys ... New to the forum and have recently bought my first Harley ( 22 RK Special).
Bike has about 5K miles and luckily for me ... has most of the upgrades that I would have preferred.
Now, I need your advise on - Windshields. The one that the bike has right now - causes a lot of wind buffeting.
I want to change the windshield - but have no clue on what to go for, or where to begin. Any pointers would be very helpful.

Try some Fork fangs first before you switch windshields.

I would figure out where the buffeting is coming from first. If it's over the tank or around the tank by your knees I don't know that the windshield will fix that entirely. Hold your hand across your chest and chase the wind to where the buffeting is coming from. If it's over the tank you can use a deflector (triple tree or DK wings) to move that flow. If it's from around the tank by your knees you'll need fork fangs. With any of the issues you should think about a windshield with a vent in it. That will reduce the vacuum directly behind the windshield which can cause some buffeting. Brand is going to be a personal thing. I use Clearview, others swear by Long Ride, Freedom, or Memphis. The Harley Windsplitter is another popular vented option, although some with taller apes or who like their bars more vertical have run into clearance issues with the Windsplitter. Bottom line is there are multiple causes to buffeting, each with their own personalized solution. You'll have to decide which fits you. I've got the vented Clearview with fangs during cooler riding. Hot weather I take the fangs off for better airflow around the engine. I trade off the increased buffeting for the cooler engine temps. Works for me but may not work for you.

I swore by the HD fangs..it was the first thing I took off my Rushmore RK to swap to my M8 RK .. it really stabilized the ride and dramatically reduced buffeting .. I left them on all year...they have a gap between them and the forks that channels oncoming rush of air with increased velocity directly to the top end for engine cooling
Congrats @upordown99 - sweet RKS! Sit on the bike and measure the distance from your headlight to your nose - that should be the height of your windshield. The Harley Windsplitter is nice if you are ~5'9 or shorter as it's a 16" shield. I'm 6'0 with 33" inseam and the distance from headlight to nose for me is 19.5" so I get a lot of wind buffeting above 50mph with that shield. I went to an 18" Freedom Shield which has a curve at the top so it's supposed to behave like a 19" or 20" straight shield. It's far better than the HD WS and pretty smooth up to about 65mph then I get some buffeting above 70mph. Most of us have a slew of windshields we've gone through to find the right fit. If I were to do it again, I would try to find a 19" recurve (Freedom only makes an 18" and 20"). For now I'm 90% happy with my Freedom.
