I have 1998 RK and am looking for the correct mount for her.
I ordered a quick detach mount, but it is not wide enough to mount on the lugs that are already in place. Also the lug locks on the new mount are on the inside of the rack unlike the the rack / backrest that came on the bike which are on the outside.
I use my phone and for whatever reason can't use the search feature on here. I have also looked online for information. Any links/help is greatly appreciated.
I will post pics of my fitment issues shortly.
Ok I think I am missing hardware that would allow me to mount the tour Pak mount. The lugs in pic are for the current rack/backrest. More pics to follow. Thanks
You need the second set of pegs and hoops for a tour pak mount.Have a look at the HD catalog,it will show the extra parts you will need.Thought I had a better pic, someone else will put one up.
Thanks to TFI and Multi for squaring me away.
I hope to have the freshly painted Pak mounted and in us soon.
I still have a few other items to replace on it, but am a heckuva lot closer.
It probably would of been easier to just get an aftermarket unit, but easy ain't my style!
