Valve noise
Ok I know this has probley been hashed out a bunch of times. I got up early this morning and went for a ride , new build 106 S&S everything 89 cc heads 585 easy start cams, qwikie push rods , S&S premium lifters no (ht) . Fuel moto cam plate and oil pump. I have valve noise at about 2500 rpms wasn't there before. I also put in the little copper things (sorry forgot the name) in the bolt holes in the rockers to quiet the valve train down, adjusted 3 times the qwikie pushrods the 4 full turns and the same thing.. Checked the pushrods, everything looks good , I have to pull the rocker boxes again today to look at clearance in the valve cover, after that I'm lost.. Any help would be great..

Noise? Like what kind of noise? Are you sure it's valve related. And you say it wasn't there before. Before what? With all the changes you've got here it could be anything. It may even be something installed incorrectly or out of adjustment. Are you sure all the changes you made are compatible with each other.

Interested to see what you find out. I picked up some valve train noise in a similar RPM range and I am also running the S&S premiums. I know you are going to pick up some clatter with a high lift cam and I am accepting of that. If I can eliminate it I would like to though.
